COOKOO watch, designed by award-winning French designer Xavier Houy, is a connected timepiece that extends smartphone to the wrist to help manage a connected life.

The AT&T’s 10,000 square foot retail store at Magnificent Mile, Chicago opened in Fall 2012 to provide a platform for customers to interact with and experience the forefront of evolving wireless technology. COOKOO is also available through AT&T’s online store and soon coming to over 200 company-owned retail stores across the USA.

ConnecteDevice Ltd announced today the global launch and showcase of its range of COOKOO™ connected watch and key fob at the 2013 CES show in Las Vegas from January 8-11 in North Hall, Booth Number 6030 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The COOKOO watch is the world’s first designer watch that combines an analog movement with a connected digital display to keep people connected to their iOS devices.  Also a first for a connected watch, COOKOO does not need to be regularly recharged.

With the COOKOO App™ (available on the App Store), people can pick and choose which notifications they wish to receive on their wrist, putting them in control of their connected life. Even when their phone is out of sight and reach, the following notifications will appear on the watch face along with a discrete beep or vibration based on user’s setting:

• Incoming calls
• Missed calls
• Facebook messages and posts
• Calendar reminders
• When the smart device is out of range
• When the smart device is at low battery levels, etc.

At the push of a customizable COMMAND button, people can take specific actions like: 

• Finding their phone
• Snapping photos remotely
• One-button Facebook check-in
• Location tagging on the map, etc.

The COOKOO watch uses Bluetooth® 4.0 LE wireless technology and is compatible with the latest Bluetooth SMART READY devices such as iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad mini, iPad (4th & 3rd generation), iPod touch (5th generation) on either iOS 6 or iOS 5. More devices will be announced in the near future.

The watch also benefits from the reliable Japanese movement, the scratch-resistant mineral glass and is water resistant up to 5ATM.

Thanks to the notifications brought to the wrist, now we are no longer sitting on the edge, having to check the phone every few seconds for fear of missing any important information. It is with the greatest pleasure and excitement that we announce the availability of the COOKOO App on the Apple App Store, ready for download with immediate effect. The COOKOO App works with the latest Bluetooth Smart Ready iOS devices, including iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S, and iPad (4th generation) and iPad (3rd generation) that run on iOS 5 or 6.

COOKOO™ the connected watch is shipping
We have begun shipping product since November with the intention to fulfill all Kickstarter backer orders and pre-orders made via cookoowatch.com webstore by Christmas. This is our committed schedule. All our current and new customers who have placed an order for the COOKOO watch since will be attended to and expedited immediately after. Those shipments are targeted for completion by mid-January at the latest, if not earlier, giving sufficient allowances for public holidays from Christmas to the New Year and potential delays due to postal service overloads.

COOKOO™ Smart Key Fob update
Many of you have also placed orders and backed us for delivery of the COOKOO Key Fob. In this regard, we aim to ship those within the month of December too.

COOKOO™ Android app
As for the Android app, since our update to all Android customers on November 21, the situation has been consistent and we are working on a resolution to Android that enables the Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy functionality, so do stay tuned.

API availability
For those willing to develop their own COOKOO app, the ConnecteDevice API will be released before end December. We will make an announcement in that regard when ready.
